Overview
The Gateway Shopping Village is prominently located at the intersection of Frankston-Cranbourne Road and South Gateway some 42 km south-east of the Melbourne CBD in the suburb of Langwarrin (municipality of Frankston).
Langwarrin is a recently developed suburb located between the coastal band of residential development around Frankston and the Cranbourne growth corridor. The suburb has experienced rapid population increases in the past 10-15 years and this trend is expected to continue.
The Centre was originally built around 1986-87 and has since been redeveloped in two stages with completion in 1998. It comprises a Coles supermarket, 40 specialty shops and on-grade car parking for 491 cars.
