Centro currently has 123 shopping centres in the Australian portfolio with over of 7,000 stores generating annual sales in excess of $10 billion.
Centro has a proven commitment to co-operation and accessibility to its retailers and customers combined with a sound knowledge of and experience in retail property management. All shopping centres are constantly monitored and analysed to maintain an optimum tenancy mix and to ensure a property portfolio that is rich in performance.
As part of Centro’s ongoing lease management, the company employs a team of leasing personnel who oversee the day to day leasing responsibilities. These include identifying, negotiating and finalising leasing deals for new and existing projects within the Centro portfolio while being an active and integral part of the national leasing team. Leasing personnel are located in each state and report directly through to a State/Regional Leasing Manager.
The key responsibilities of the leasing department include:
- Delivery of income to Centro’s business;
- Successful retail planning to optimise tenancy mix;
- Lease management of renewals, vacancies and other value adding opportunities; and
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with both national and independent retailers and working harmoniously and productively with the development and management departments.
