Centro Properties Group

Corporate Governance

Corporate Governance is the way a business is controlled or directed. Good Corporate Governance is the existence of an effective control environment to identify and manage business risks which arise from the implementation of the business strategy.

Centro Properties Group’s Corporate Governance policy states that The Boards of the Centro Properties Group operate under a set of well-established corporate governance policies which comply with the principles and requirements of the Corporations Act and Australian Stock Exchange (“ASX”). The Boards review and update their corporate governance policies to ensure they accord with best practice, based on Australian and overseas developments, and believe they satisfy the majority of the recommendations of the ASX Corporate Governance Council.

A number of charters and policies have been formalised and extended, based on Centro Properties Group’s existing Corporate Governance Charter, which ensure that the Group complies with the ASX Corporate Governance Council Recommendations.
